78 Development

Development for the 78 Record label branding and Identity. I wanted something reasonably sharp and easily recognisable to give the company a strong identity.

First two images are the two that I want to work on the identity with, first as an image for flyers etc and the second for more formal aspect of the label.

Density

This was the other logo that my crit group were particularly keen on, just some brief developments to see where the ideas go and if they can have any input to my ANALOGUE designs... Also some net designs to give me a better idea of how they will look in context. Playing around with a simple monotone image of a retro vinyl player from BRAUN designed in the 80s - (need to make some more cultural references for my image work - maybe look at design in the 30's the time when vinyls were first released.

De-velopment

Logo development for ANALOGUE playing about with a friendly and creative branding identity, especially on the second image where I was playing about using different variations to create different faces and feels to the designs. This reminds me of the way companies such as carhartt and stussy work with their logos either collaborating with artists or producing limited variations of their logos for t shirt designs or printed work... few examples on my context blog - see post here.
Last two images are a few other words I was thinking of using...

Chosen

The logo design that was chosen by another group for me to develop and the feedback they left
Nice type, room for experimentation with layout and formats. Bold interesting visual identity.

- This wasn't particularly my favourite choice but I think its a nice starting point, also from previous experience clients never seem to choose the one I like. But I need to make sure in future I only provide the client with designs that I think are worth continuing with.

I like the way the ANA fit together and this could be an area that I explore when developing my designs. I want to get it onto the computer and do some refining as well as some more hand rendering to make sure I make the most of my design ideas.
