Type Grids 2

Made some major developments with the grids I have been working on, after studying the different shapes and lines that form letters I altered the grids adding colour to define the different possible elements of the letters. The designs are much more successful but people struggled with understanding what I wanted them to do - this will become clearer when I start writing the briefs.
-
I also got some great responses from classmates, people were engaging and interacting with the grids using different methods and approaches which is exactly what I wanted. The aim was to create a grid that people wouldn't feel restricted by but also gave them guidance and a starting point and as my research has shown this is often the hardest part of the process.
-
What was also interesting was the variety of responses, the grids were somewhat representative of each of the individuals practice, for example some people choose to go huge using the whole page for just one letter and others used the finer details of the grid to create some really interesting forms. I will keep developing the grids and gathering responses, as this should maintain my progress with the brief.
