Testing Binds / Book Progress

Spent a bit of time today drawing out sketches for the book design, ideas stemming from both parties for the format and when that was completed we would work on our separate paths, me on the book and Dom on after effects.

We are planning on using grey board as a reference to last years project but a lighter and much easier version. We also intend on using this green binding tape I picked up on a trip to London, it eases the binding process making it much easier to hide any imperfections on the spine from the stock splitting etc.

The green also compliments the other four colours used for the posters. Although this bind has a nice effect when closed when laid flat it appears the same as the image above. Then when applying before folding the grey board the book wouldn't close. We will have to find a halfway point to get the right effect.
