Typographic Circle (D&AD)

- Typographic content, area of my work that needs researching and improvement
- Printed media / publishing - Improve type & layout skills
- Allows the exploration of alternative formats within print
- Allows me to explore custom typefaces - work around current brand rather than my usual approach
- Exploration of grids - modular grids - the rules of typography

21st Century Scotch Whiskey (D&AD)

- Personal interest in packaging, haven't had much previous chance to explore it
- Interested in the process behind the brief - history of whiskey, form, sustainability, ergonomics
- I WILL ENJOY IT  - I WILL N-JOY IT - will help maintain interest during all stages of the process
- Clearly identified problem - after the last tutorial I feel this was something I needed to focus on
- Elements of identity and challenging conventions - vital for personal aims and development

Putting on a fresh face (ISTD)

- Content - Visual Identity, personal aims / progression with my professional development
- Variety of deliverables - exploration of the relationship between print & web
- Conceptual element, focus point after last tutorials - alter how I will be perceived in the industry
- Already a defined audience - will benefit how I perceive and design around the given audience
- Existing brand, how to work around limitations, where changes should and shouldn't be made

4' 33" (ISTD)

- Interesting subject matter to work with - relation to typography - how it translates to identity
avant garde music, scores, labanotation, onomatopoeia, meditation, silent music, iChing
- Outside of my comfort zones, will push me to produce alternative outcomes
- Music orientated content, professional aims and area of interest at the end of the course
- Strong concept & effective delivery vital - process as important as final outcome
- Enjoy working with the relationship between sound & design, I will enjoy the brief and research process
