Experiments

Final experiments for my book design, using an A4 format for the pages and printing double sided. Also playing around with using halftone images however I think this took the focus away from the type so I have decided not to use them for my final design. The initial half tone was to dark and made the type impossible to read, but it could work well for the front of the book.

The main issues that I encountered during my printing was the black vectors went through the stock I wanted to use (off white, not sure about the specific GSM) to resolve this I changed the black to a dark grey which no longer showed through the page yet maintained a pleasing aesthetic. The final play abouts were with stocks, I was using a blue / greyish stock and a yellow, together they look really interesting especially the red type on off white / yellow stock.
